The Voice of Youth Reaches Roblox

For the second year, Roblox’s Teen Council is back, expanding to include young people from North America (United States, Canada, and Mexico). This is an essential part of our ongoing goal to build a safe and positive online environment for all users, especially teenagers and young adults.

From October 2025 to June 2026, selected members will have the opportunity to collaborate directly with Roblox’s internal teams. Their mission? To provide crucial perspectives on platform features, policies, and safety tools.

The Legacy of the First Council

The work of this new council will build on the success of the first cohort, launched in March 2025, which brought together 14 young leaders in the United States.

The pioneering members gained valuable skills in communication, critical thinking, and community building, while also deepening their understanding of digital well-being and civility. They participated in ideation workshops, providing direct insights on:

• Parental controls and safety tools.
• Community standards and avatar features.

In addition, the first cohort received training in digital citizenship and mental health advocacy, creating well-being tips that were shared across Roblox’s social media channels.

The program is all about education and empowerment. Andres Cuervo, Roblox’s Youth Engagement Program Manager, states: “This program is about giving young people a seat at the table to share their perspectives and learn about crucial topics in digital well-being, safety, and civility.”
